Sanjay Dutt says producer threatened him through dons

A day after a court ordered the attachment of two properties of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt over a financial row with producer Shakeel Noorani, the actor's lawyer claimed on December 29 that he received extortion calls from the underworld in 2005 at Noorani's behest.

The film producer rubbished the allegation.

"Sanjay Dutt does not owe a single penny to Shakeel Noorani. Noorani, in the past, has been demanding money from Sanjay Dutt. Mr. Dutt has received extortion calls at the behest of Shakeel Noorani. The complaint was lodged with the Anti-Extortion Cell and late (senior police inspector) Vijay Sala

2012: Busy year for Katrina Kaif ahead!

Actor Katrina Kaif will have a busy date diary this year. Once she’s back from her London holiday with her mother and sisters, which she took to celebrate Christmas and bring in the New Year, she’ll report for the Ek Tha Tiger shoot. Alongside that, there will be meetings to discuss dates and other details of the Dostana sequel, top-lining Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, announced in the last leg of 2011.
Then, before the January ends, she will start shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for Yash Chopra’s untitled romantic film that also features Anushka Sharma. “I really didn’t plan all of this,” beams Katrina, adding, “I took on my projects after hearing the scripts and liking the parts that each one offered. My dates were allotted accordingly.”
Towards April, the actor moves from SRK to Aamir Khan and the shoot of Dhoom 3, in which Katrina turns into the next Dhoom girl, for which, news is that she’ll not only have to chisel her body but also get into a swimsuit.
Bring this up, and she says, “I’ve not even discussed the costumes with the designers. And all these speculations have already begun. I think I’d let them be. People will know the truth when it’s time.”
Apart from working with three of the biggest Khans actors in the industry in a single calendar year, the actor will have two festive releases: Ek Tha Tiger on Eid and Yash Chopra’s film on Diwali. That’s a record that only actor Kareena Kapoor, with five Khans and two festive releases, has managed to match.
“It’s a dream to be cast in a film that Yashji is directing. In a way it brings me into the league of some of the most beautiful and iconic female actors we’ve had so far. Not everyone gets a chance to work with a legend like him,” Katrina states, adding, “But like I said, my dates were allotted to each project depending on the requirements. Beyond that, I don’t decide anything. That’s something that producers and other people involved with a movie decide.”

Katrina Kaif signs a film for free!

Katrina Kaif may have secured her position as one of the leading ladies in Bollywood, but she also has a philanthropic side. The actor recently signed her make-up artist Subhash Singh’s production venture as the female lead. And to top it all, she will not be charging him for it.
Confirming the news, he says, “Yes, she has signed my film and she is supporting me, by not charging a single penny for it.”
Subhash recently launched his company Hari Om Sai Productions. He will produce this film, which is the Hindi adaptation of the 2007 movie P.S. I Love You starring Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank.
“It is untitled as of now, but I have signed Aziz Mirza to direct it,” says Subhash, who is yet to find a male lead to star opposite Katrina. “I had approached John (Abraham) and Ranbir (Kapoor), but they didn’t agree. So, I am still looking.”
Subhash plans on taking the film on the floors by the end of 2012. Meanwhile, Katrina has three big films to look forward to this year — Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan, Dhoom 3 with Aamir Khan and filmmaker Yash Chopra’s untitled film opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
“She sat idle for three months as she had kept that time for me. But we couldn’t start without a male lead. Hopefully, we will start after she finishes the three big projects,” adds Subhash.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Katrina is supporting her staff’s professional endeavours. In 2011, she did a cameo for her hairdresser, Ramila Manjrekar’s, production Main Krish Hoon. Unfortunately the film is yet to see the light of day.

Akshay-Sonakshi's new Rowdy Rathore poster out

After hand-painting the poster of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Rowdy Rathore, the street painters hired by the filmmakers have now created a portrait of the film’s lead cast Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.
According to an insider from the film set, the actors had to spend almost four hours standing still in the same position, so the artists could create the piece flawlessly.
“Four painters were hired for the job and they all worked simultaneously and presented four versions, all of which will be unveiled in due course of time,” says the insider.
It was reported that the decision to rope in the street painters for the posters of the film, as well as other artwork, was co-producer Bhansali’s. The filmmaker intends on reviving the art form that was rampant in the ’80s, but was phased out with the arrival of the digital age.
Kumar, who will return to action after a series of comedies and romantic films with this Prabhu Deva directorial, feels the poster does his character complete justice.
“The looks being unveiled are keeping the action theme and the attitude of Rowdy Rathore in mind,” says Kumar.
The first poster of the film, which was also hand-painted, was released around Diwali. The latest one marks the onset of the New Year.
