In 2006, 46 year old Esther and Nick had their daughter Brittany. In the last year, the couple have been actively trying to get another baby, but unfortunately has not been successful. Since his wife had failed to get pregnant several times, Nick, who had always wanted to have a second child, recently changed his views and expressed to leave everything to fate. At 4pm the day before, reporters spotted Esther Kwan in Causeway Bay, wearing a comfortable dress and flat shoes. She was in the shopping mall looking at baby clothing. It was clearly seen that her arms and legs had gotten thicker and that her abdomen is slightly elevated. She walked very slowly, appearing just like a pregnant woman.
During the time, Esther focused much of her time looking at baby girl clothing, the majority of the ones she was looking at where pink in color or had flowers on them. Then she looked at clothing for the newly born. Not long after, Esther chose a few shirts and went to the counter to pay. A female passerbyer recognized Esther and went up to greet her. The two chatted about baby caring tips. When Esther was leaving, she was asked if she's pregnant? She let out a huge smile and did not respond. Speaking of Nick crowned Film King once again, did she celebrate with him? She smiled: "I'm leaving!" Then she turned around and left.
After a few days, Esther went grocery shopping at the IFC in Central. After she purchased her items, reporters went up to her and asked again if she's pregnant? Again, Esther smiled and did not answer. Then her driver came to pick her up to go home.
